Jamopyper planned to become a mechanical engineer. However, the praise he received from performing at small events at the age of 12 sparked his interest in music full-time, and in 2005, he decided to pursue a career in music professionally, primarily drawing inspiration from artists such as Akon, Rihanna, Wizkid, Davido, and 9ice.
He gained more recognition in the Nigerian music scene in 2018 with his single release Omode Meta, which featured Zlatan and Naira Marley. He then went on to release another single, “Josi,” which featured Zlatan and Chinko Ekun.
The song “Of Lala” launched his career, topping Nigerian music video charts for weeks. The hit single “iF No Be You” featuring Mayorkun was the climax.
